Introduction

It is possible to divide the concept of time into two categories: the first is the actual time experienced (time), and the second is linguistic time expressed in language (tense). These two concepts are distinct from each other. Actual time cannot be fragmented; it represents an indivisible entirety, while linguistic time is a segmented structure that provides a
sequence of events and facts with reference to a certain point. These segments constitute a grammatical category used to describe actual time.

The concept of aspect is distinct from the concept of tense, but it, along with tense, forms a spiral that allows the expression of the duration of an action in time. This spiral created by aspect and tense is referred to as “aspektotempora”. Unlike tense, the aspect does not indicate the sequence of events but rather the spread of an action in the time frame
in which it occurred, reflecting the subjective perspective of the subject.
